High School Dreams: Best Friends Forever is a dating simulation set in a US high-school named Charm Springs High. The object of the game is to date one of six available boys and eventually get an invitation to the prom.
The game incorporates a number of mini-games to drive the storylines forward, together with fetch-and-carry quests and dialogue-based elements which allow the player to progress.
Despite issues with their publisher, DR Studios released the game through Green Man Gaming in 2010.

Originally developed for Eidos Interactive, High School Dreams: Best Friends Forever was dropped by the publisher when they merged with Square Enix and the title was funded by DR Studios themselves until it could be released. Due to this unusual turn of events, many sites such as IGN[1] erroneously list High School Dreams: Best Friends Forever as a cancelled project.
Due to the rumours of this game's demise and the reliance on Digital Distribution, mainstream media have been slow to acknowledge High School Dreams: Best Friends Forever, but customer reviews have been positive and the game was enjoying an average review score of 4.5 / 5 even in September 2010.
